Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring near a well-attended coastal beach unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, eventually dropping height and crashing into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers observed.
Recordings shared online capture the helicopter starting to spin over the beach then plunging near the border of the beach, where it gets stuck among palm groves and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters reported five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising a pair who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
