Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Paramount Skydance plans to begin significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs within a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further global layoffs are likely, as the firm aiming to disclose full details during its third quarter earnings report scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.

The organization has not yet commented to a request for comment.
